Hi WeGamers!
After some consideration, we have decided to implement a cap on WeGame Gold. This cap will help us improve the WeGame experience by:
- Acting as a spam deterrent to prevent users from attempting to accrue large amounts of gold through exploitative means.
- Giving us better control of the economy so we can price items in the store at an achievable level for newer users.
- Allowing us to implement new and exciting features around Gold in the near future.
We have decided to set the maximum Gold cap at 1,000,000 gold. The cap will be enacted on Monday July 14th. In order to allow users who currently exceed the cap to make use of their currency, there will be some vanity items added to the store that will no longer be available after the cap is enacted.

well, keep the WeGame store full of goodies then & this shouldn’t be a prob…
even though I think the idea is kinda lame :(
make WeGame store items less expensive so we can afford more without lamers spamming imo.

I’m a new user here just looking over site features, etc. When I click on the store link, the only item that pops up is the game of the day and today it happens to cost 750k Gold. There are no links to any other items that I can see.
Not that I’m really interested in buying games with Gold, but if that is the case, then this whole Gold system is a fail since I can never acquire enough to purchase anything since it’s capped. Therefore, you are pushing people to acquire tokens by, for the most part, sending them to your advertiser sites so they can get your users’ cell phone numbers and start spamming them with garbage text messages with their daily horoscopes and jokes of the day (at least that is the majority of them).
And if you lower the cost of these games of the day to 500k, I still fail to see how this curbs people from spamming, etc. to acquire gold as they would still be able to purchase these items, they would just have to spend 500k at a time if there were any items available at that price or less.
But, like I said, I’m new to the site so maybe I’m not seeing things correctly. Problem being, any other new users are likely to view it similarly and may be turned off by it.
Also, do the XP and achievements really mean anything?

I totaly agree with NextGen Tactics, whats the point of this system if the cap is lower then the cost of the good rewards?

how….how….how do we buy games if they cost 700k??? If we have to do your shitty surveys or buy tokens for money im leaving the site. and i dont have a clue how that will stop people from spamming… like nextgen tactics said you can just spend 500k at a time

If you can’t afford something be more active, dont complain if they are asking for fake currency for something.
Of course you can have mix-matched things, just pay 40$ for fraps and than upload your videos to youtube, getting you no benifets, thats fine by me, you dont have to stay on wegame.

phoenixlord882, ur a idiot, th cap is 1 million gold, not 500k, and megazord, ur completely acurate about no being able to afford something and what u should do, im doing exactly that, i have for 3 days at least.

diealein, the post used to say the cap was gonna be at 500k. The post was recently changed to show it as 1m.

yet when I look in the User Titles part of the Store, I still see these titles “The Powerful – 3,000,000 Gold” & “The Generous – 2,000,000 Gold”.
Are these titles still available & purchasable with Tokens, or has the gold cap never been enabled?
