Hey WeGamers!
Bill’s been burning the midnight oil to push out a minor release today.
[NEW FEATURE] Flash Recording Disabling
We patched in a small modification that allows the user to disable flash recording. This feature was added as a temporary fix to address the problems that certain users are experiencing when Flash recording overrides their desired game.
Hope this fix works for you! If you have any bugs to report about for this release, please e-mail us at help@wegame.com.

Faeez and Mat:
The client works fine on Vista x64, as long as you’re not running a 64-bit game. I actually develop the cilent on Vista x64 Ultimate. :P
We just don’t *officially* support it.

Crashed on my Windows 7 7058 beta 32bit build.
With Application Error dialog box message
“The application was unable to start correctly (0cx0000005). Click OK to close the application.”
Come on guys fix this.
Compatibility mode on xp and vista variants produces same error.

Sorry, guys, but Windows 7 is not supported at this time. Our required specs are visible on our download page: http://www.wegame.com/download/
(Also, why are you using *beta* software from Microsoft of all companies???)
That said, the next client update should work fine on 7, but it’s untested.

It’s great the next client update will support Windows 7!
Windows 7 is running great so far, lots of leaked builds already and all of them are performing better than Windows Vista RTM!

@ Willaim on “(Also, why are you using *beta* software from Microsoft of all companies???)”
Man you have to check Windows 7,its was better than Xp ,i never used Vista.and i am one of those guys, whose used to use Windows, while holding my nose so to speak, cursing it all the time but still using it.
Windows 7 is the best MS have ever done, give it a chance.
Nice to see next client will support it.

Is a beta of next client update available for download so we can test to see if it works on Windows 7?

No, there is no beta, but 1.1.3 has been released: http://blog.wegame.com/2009/04/13/wegame-client-113/
Also, please stop using beta products from Microsoft.

@ Bill:
I’ve still got the right to prefer to run Windows 7 instead of bloated Windows Vista, don’t you think? ;)
The latest (although leaked) builds are so finetuned already lots of people are already using it as main OS. I know this sounds crazy considering all the problems we experienced all with the Vista beta and even months after the Vista release.
But things are going really well for Windows 7 :)
(The release candidate will be released around the end of April or beginning of May)

Its Beta in its name only, like final Vista is Final in its name only ,so to speak.
It works like a OS/Software should and that why we use it.

It’s beta until the RC (release candidate) next month. After that, it will ship and become retail. At that time, we will likely support it.
