Hey everyone,

I’m really happy to announce the launch of our new site today. The WeGame team has been hard at work for the past couple of months to bring this idea to life. We’ve made some major site design changes and added new features, so I’d like to take a moment to show you what’s new:

WeGame Rebuilt From Scratch
In order to keep everything clean and efficient, we decided to start from scratch instead of building on top of our old site.

New Design
There are many new features in this release, and we will continue to add more in the near future. We wanted to create a new design that would give us maximum flexibility while significantly improving the user experience. For our existing users, the new design may take a little time to get used to, but we believe you will soon be as pleased as we are with it. If you are using Internet Explorer 6, please consider upgrading to Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox to have the optimal experience on the site.

Screenshots
WeGame started out as a place for people to easily share and discuss their game videos. While gamers loved recording video from their games, we received frequent requests for the ability to take screenshots. So, due to popular demand, we are proud to launch our brand new screenshots section! You can upload screenshots from your computer or you can link directly to screenshots on the web, and we’ll grab them for you. Very shortly, we will be releasing a new version of the WeGame client that will allow you to easily capture and publish screenshots from your game, just like you already can with videos – Stay tuned!

Friends & Fans
Have you ever wanted to know what your favorite WeGame users have been doing on WeGame? Now you can, by adding them to your Friends list. We haven’t enabled any special features for Friends yet, but we will be rolling them out over the next few weeks. For now, you can find interesting people on WeGame and ‘follow’ them.

Activity Feeds
We have added Activity Feeds throughout the site that highlight various things going on at WeGame. In the near future, these feeds will default to show only activity from people you are ‘following’.

Improved Search System
We have developed a new robust search system that will let you quickly find videos, screenshots, users, games, forum posts and more. Give it a try by typing something in the search bar at the top right!

Improved Video Quality and Download Options
Any new video that is uploaded to WeGame will now enjoy a 200% increase in quality over our old videos! In addition to higher quality videos, all new videos will also have high quality .MOV and .WMV versions available for download.

Groups Temporarily Removed
We’ve decided to leave out our Groups section this release. We weren’t happy with the original Groups system, so we’re going to build it from the ground up as well. We don’t have a timeline for a release at this moment, but we will keep everyone updated! Sorry for any inconveniences this causes for current Group users.

Great Foundation For Much More!
With the release of our new site, we have set ourselves up with a great foundation to expand and grow. Expect new features and tweaks to show up on a frequent basis.
