Hello WeGamers!
Just a quick little patch released to improve hooking in general, but in particular to help out Second Life users that may have been experiencing some pretty severe issues when they tried to start recording. Thanks to all those who helped us out with this release, particularly our users ZoeConnolly and Virrginia. Second Life should now be working properly. If there are any other issues, or would like to see more games included, please let us know at help@wegame.com.
Some users are having trouble playing back their videos; getting only a black screen with sound. In many cases, this is caused by not having the proper codec to decode our videos. If your videos aren’t working, download the K-lite codec pack, which is available for free online. If you install this codec and still don’t have proper video playback, please email us.

Could you tell us what codec it is? I’d rather not install K-Lite. It’s sloppy.

WeGame uses Motion JPEG encoding for video and PCM (raw) for audio.
If you don’t want to use the K-lite codec pack, try ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow).
VLC can also play videos recorded with WeGame and doesn’t need external codecs.

I am still getting the same error on initial launch of the app, the config asks me to put in my user name and password, which I do, but when I hit Login I get “Error reading response from server! Please try again! If the problem persists, please wait before trying again.” I have been getting this error since my first attempt to launch with version 1.0.2 >_<

I’ve been trying with every update to make this thing work since 1.02. But I too still have the same crash on the initial launch of the program. Is there any hope for us having this problem? I’m nearing the point of giving up on this app.

hey as for as updates go, i was wondering will there be a update to allow records of “Postal 2″ that would be awsome to record the funniest game on pc lol. ok thanks.

i have downloaded those codec programs, and my videos still don’t work. Their still blank, with audio.
does anyone know any other way they can help me out? I really want to get this program working.
I have many videos to make :)

I’m having codec issues as well, both WeGame and Fraps, but only with the original AVI’s. I can use VLC or WinAmp to play them fine, but WMP11 crashes, and other media players only play the audio. WMP “Classic” plays the videos fine, there’s irony for ya.
I was having this problem before I ever installed WeGame though; at some point I must have installed something that screwed with the codecs, because when I first built this new computer Fraps AVI’s played with no issues.
I would love to have a forum or some way to request new games being enabled…

i can watch my videos but when i try to put them in windows movie maker or any other software of that type it shows a black screen for the video and plays the sound. what do i have to do to fix that

hey, i can’t seem to get wegame working for halo : full version. i login into wegame and open halo, there is never a colourd box. even when i press the recording key. anybody know what is the issue?
could codecs get in the way of recording? (i.e. u need certain codes to be able to record games like halo?

what would be really cool, and make wegame > other recording programs, would be a quality/performance bar. for some basic computers, even web mod can be too harsh, whilst others may want better quality than web mode, but can’t afford the performance loss of HD mode.
0-100, where the user could choose settings would be truly fantastic

whenever i start up wegame the system always crashes with an error and cant do anything.I log
in but it always makes an error report
please help
